Home made tomato paste. yum!

Step 1: Pick lots of tomatoes
(ignore the pepper you won't use it.)

Step 2: Cut in quarters and place in pot.

Step 3: Simmer for 45 minutes or until soft.
Stir every few minutes.

Step 4: Process in Tomato mill.
What, you don't have one? You need one.

Step 5: Simmer and reduce to a thick paste.
this takes several hours. Be patient.
 

Once paste is finished reducing you can use right away or place in ice cube trays and freeze.
After the cubes freeze transfer to an airtight container.
